I just happen to watch this movie “Flight of the Phoenix” betwixt a rather tight schedule and I did pick up a few valuable lessons from there. I loved a statement made in the movie when they were contemplating if they should let a young so-called plane designer take a shot at re-designing the plane from scratch. One of the characters in the movie says ” If You had to give, give man a little love; if you can’t give him that, give him something to hope for; if you can’t give him that, at least give him something to DO.
The Aha Moment! Just something to pep me up.
There is however, another valuable lesson from the movie. It is so important never to give up and to face problems face-up. No matter what, no matter how, no matter what anyone tells you, there is always a way out and this would be true just as much for those bunch of survivors in the movie as for anyone else.
If they can survive a rough desert like that, complete with armed, maniacal nomads, businesses are still a small game. It is not going to be that difficult to surmount them.
