Some of you might not like the language. I am about to use here. Please refrain from reading the post if you are the types who would get offended.
I am fortunate for having born as a big time cynic. I am a natural rebel. I wouldn’t believe anything anyone said if not substantiated with a viable, trustworthy proof. This is something about me that helped me to avoid getting scammed online. The only spending I had ever done that went straight to the trash-bin is signing up for a ‘Survey’ opportunity about 5 years ago. Hey, nothing wrong with the opportunity. It is just that I had realized that for someone living in India, the surveys would only trickle in and are mostly suitable for the citizens of US and sometimes Europe.
For the gullible folks out there, these little things might help
- No Data Entry, Type-at-home and other lousy jobs for you : I don’t know a single opportunity that might be a viable one. Most of them are scams and if there is anyone making money, it is THEM. Not YOU. So what might work? If you wanted to do any of those type of jobs, you should try to get clients on your own - Solicit them using the power of Internet and propose your services. Wait until you negotiate your terms and conditions and start working. As simple as it can get. However, if I were you, I would do something a little smarter - I would set up a Virtual Assistant Business and farm out all the hard work to ‘others’ looking for some extra income.
- No work? No Pay : Hey, newbies and the die-hard old-but-opinionated-opportunity-seekers, listen up! There are no free lunches and you got to SELL something - a product or a service, if you want to make money. Which product?Which service? Go figure.
- Internet is Powerful, only if you know how to use it: Got it? Self-explanatory I guess.
- Beware of anything that doesn’t have BBBonline, TrustE, Verisign or something Similar - I hope you get the idea? A site with signs like that can’t afford to scam people. There are other organizations like WAHM, that might help too. Reading up, doing a little research and a little asking will uncover a lot of information about the particular opportunity you are seeking.
- Read the Terms and Conditions - You see? Every site out there has these legal documents, but you don’t bother reading them. Look, you don’t read, YOU lose. Not them. So do yourself a favour. Read, for once.
- Please don’t - PLEASE DON’T fall for those common scams you would see splashed on your news classifieds section. Especially anything that is related to ‘Making money online’ stuff. If you had to know anything, you would know everything ( at least most of it! ) for free online.
I hope to god that you don’t get ripped, bro !
